How to choose the right original amaranth oil

How to choose the right original amaranth oil

Amaranth oil, a product that is famous for its healing properties. A few decades ago, such a plant was not even heard of, but today you can find a lot of products from the amaranth, but it's worth knowing that not all producers care about their customers in the same way. So often buying a product called "Amaranth oil" you buy is not the product you are counting on, and its effect is not felt at all. This is what causes the opinion that the amaranth is not healing, and does not help in the treatment. Therefore, in this article, we will consider in detail what we can sell under the guise of amaranth oil, and how to distinguish a fake from a real quality product.

RAW MATERIAL FOR AMARANTHE OIL

We decided to highlight this topic in view of the fact that the quality of the final product depends on the quality of raw materials. And, despite the fact that the raw material for amaranth oil is amaranth seed, it can differ significantly in quality level. And naturally the quality will differ and the final product.

The first is, under what conditions amaranth is grown, and by what means it is processed. If amaranth is treated with chemical fertilizers to increase the yield, it is natural to call such an amaranth ecologically clean, since the plant accumulates active chemical compounds from fertilizers. The second is herbicides, fighting weeds mechanically, is much more expensive than simply spraying the field with herbicides. Naturally, the level of quality of raw materials from such treatment also falls.

The second and not less unimportant factor is the collection and processing of amaranth grain. Before producing amaranth oil, it is necessary to clear all excess impurities, since during harvesting because it is very small, seeds of weeds often enter the grain, and they are mostly harmful to health. The most effective method of cleaning is the calibration of the grain. Of course, the loss of amaranth grain in this case is quite large, as all small grains are lost, but only the highest quality pure raw material remains.

As you can see from the way the amaranth is grown and how it is harvested and processed, the quality of the final product also depends.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR OBTAINING AMARANTH OIL

The technology for obtaining amaranth oil is also different. For example, amaranth seed is a low-oily raw material, for extraction from which oil it is necessary to exert a lot of effort. Therefore, manufacturers sometimes depart from the standard method of cold pressing, and are looking for cheaper ways of production.

It can not be said that modern technologies are of use to amaranth oil, since they can only be classified as industrial. For consumption in food or as a cosmetic product, they are contraindicated, and may even cause harm to health.

METHOD OF EXTRACTION BY ORGANIC SOLVENT

This method of extracting amaranth oil consists in dissolving it from the grain with organic solvents. The process is very simple, the grain is simply poured with a solvent, and wait until it pulls out all the oils from it. As a solvent, hexogen is most often used, but some manufacturers can also use odorless solvents.

This method of production is not intended for the food industry, because it is impossible to completely remove the solvent from the oil, so already in the production process, such amaranth oil is harmful to health. But, unfortunately, in the market you can sometimes find products from amaranth oil, produced in this way.

METHOD OF OIL EXTRACTION

This method is the most common among manufacturers of cheap "Amaranth oil", as the product that is obtained as a result of the name amaranth oil can not be.

The production process is similar to the previous one, only oil is used instead of the solvent. It can be corn, simple sunflower and in rare cases, olive oil. Amaranth seeds are simply poured with oil. The oil, in turn, extracts squalene from the amaranth grain. The result is an oil solution that smells and tastes like amaranth oil, and can contain up to 1% squalene.

The disadvantage of this method of production is that the oil reacts with air in the production process. As a result, the squalene is oxidized and converted to squalane. Squalane, in principle, is also a useful substance for the body and it is often used in cosmetics, but to the useful properties of squalene it is very far.

Therefore, to calculate what is "amaranth oil" will help you significantly improve your health is not worth it. It's just a cheap fake, which is practically the same as regular oil.

EXTRACTION METHOD FOR LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE

This method of obtaining oil is the cheapest. It consists in the following. Under high pressure, the carbon dioxide becomes liquid and extracts from the amaranth grain oil. When the pressure decreases, the carbon dioxide again passes into a gas-like shape and simply volatilizes into the atmosphere. As a result, there is also a product that manufacturers proudly call "Amaranth oil."

But in fact, the result of such processing is not similar to amaranth oil. As a thick, viscous mixture is obtained, which is simply saturated with fat-soluble components. You can not sell it in its pure form, so the manufacturer simply dilutes it with cheap oils, after which it goes on sale.

Those who remember at least a little of the chemistry from the school program can understand that at high pressures carbon dioxide not only extracts oil-soluble elements, but also reacts with water molecules. As a result, carbonic acid is produced, and although the percentage of moisture in the amaranth grain is low, the acid still reacts with the substances in the amaranth seed, and in particular with squalene. As a result, it turns out that the mixture contains not only squalene but also substances that are obtained as a result of its reaction with carbonic acid.

This technology is called environmentally friendly, its products are natural and they say that it is very useful for health. But in fact it is just a dummy, since in such an oil there is not squalene, but its derivatives. Therefore, under the guise of amaranth oil, they sell a simple pacifier, which also adds flavors, flavors and colors to everything, to look like natural amaranth oil. Therefore, such a product is unlikely to bring health benefits.

METHOD OF COLD PRESSING

This method is the only one that allows you to get a really natural amaranth oil with a high content of squalene. It is really good for health, and does not contain excess impurities. But it should be noted that this method is the most expensive, since the percentage of oil yield is very low, and you have to spend a lot of raw materials for production.

But, this amaranth oil is worth the money spent on it, since it contains up to 9% of natural squalene. Especially if it is made from a well-purified natural raw material.

Amaranth grain simply squeezed under the press, without heating and using chemical catalysts. After heating squalene rapidly oxidizes and loses all its useful properties.

HOW WE PRODUCE AMARANTHE OIL

he first thing to begin with is the cultivation of amaranth. We grow amaranth from our own seed material, since we started as a seed farm. When growing amaranth we do not use herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals. The control of weeds passes only mechanically. That is why we can guarantee the absolute ecological cleanliness of our products.

After harvesting, the grain is thoroughly cleaned at our facilities. The grain is cleared from the ground, chaff, swan seeds and other weeds. At the same time amaranth grain does not pass thermal and chemical treatments. It is cleaned only mechanically, since otherwise all its useful properties can be lost.

For the production of amaranth oil, we use modern high-tech equipment for cold pressing of low-oleaginous crops. There are no analogues of this equipment in Ukraine, and it was manufactured on special order in Germany. The peculiarity of the production process is that the amaranth and amaranth oil itself do not heat up in the process to more than 40 ° C. Therefore, the squalene is not oxidized, and is fully contained in the oil, like other biologically active substances of amaranth.

After pressing, amaranth oil undergoes mechanical filtration. It is carried out in order to remove all the fine amaranth particles that are left in the oil after pressing.

After filtration, amaranth oil enters a special dispenser, where it is packaged in a high-quality container of dark glass. Amaranth oil does not tolerate sunlight, since it promotes rapid oxidation of squalene, the most important healing element. In our amaranth oil, squalene content is at least 6%, in the production of each batch, we do product analysis, and if this figure is lower, the whole lot is sent to marriage.

Most importantly, each batch of amaranth oil is produced in just one shift at 8 o'clock. During this time, squalene does not have time to oxidize, so it is fully contained in amaranth oil. After the work is finished, the equipment is completely cleaned of the residues of amaranth grain and oil with the help of hot water. Even when washing the equipment, we do not use chemicals to prevent them from entering amaranth oil, since we produce only environmentally friendly products.

VOLUME OF AMARANTH OIL PACKAGING

It is also important to know about the volumes of amaranth oil packaging, because you can buy bottles of 100 and 200 grams in our store. This is a well thought-out volume that allows you to keep all the healing properties of amaranth oil.

The matter is that, upon contact with atmospheric oxygen, squalene rapidly oxidizes and turns into squalane. Of course, if you just open the oil to pour it on your spoon, then immediately close, then the oxidation process is very slow, but it still passes. That's why if you buy amaranth oil only for personal use, then packing in 100 grams is the best option, since squalene does not have time to oxidize for the time that you use all the oil.

Tara 200 grams, designed for families who consume amaranth oil, or for those who use it for rubbing the skin (amaranth oil really works wonders and in a short time rejuvenates and revitalizes the skin). In this case, amaranth oil is consumed faster and does not have time to oxidize. Therefore, it is the most useful for health.

If you see a package of large volumes on which there will be an inscription that is a natural amaranth oil of cold pressing, then we advise you not to buy it. Even if this is true, then you simply will not have time to use amaranth oil before squalene and other substances in it are oxidized. But in most cases there will be nothing to oxidize in such oil, since it simply simply contains squalene in minimal quantities.

COMPOSITE PRICES OF AMARANTHE OIL

The last thing I would like to tell you is the cost price of amaranth oil of the first cold pressing.

The first thing that goes to the most important costs is amaranth grain, since it is from it that oil is produced. The average cost of clean, cleaned amaranth grain is at least 50 hryvnia per kilogram. But from one kilogram of grain will be 25-30 grams of amaranth oil, if it is really produced by the method of cold pressing. After all, as mentioned above, amaranth is a low-oily culture. It turns out that on 100 grams of amaranth oil you need an average of 3.5 kg of amaranth grain. And this is 175 hryvnia, and these costs only for the raw materials from which the oil is produced.

But in addition to the costs of raw materials, there is still a lot of costs in production. This is a quality glass packaging that can not be cheap, the cost of electricity for the operation of equipment, labor costs for workers, tax burden, the cost of quality control and certification of products, equipment wear. All this is also included in the cost of amaranth oil of the first cold pressed.

Therefore, we can honestly tell you that if you meet amaranth oil, which is below our price, and you buy it from an intermediary who puts his mark-ups, you can be sure - it's a fake.

We are a producer of amaranth oil, and in addition we do not buy raw materials with a mark-up from a third-party producer, but we grow amaranth ourselves, which allowed us to reduce the price of oil for buyers. Therefore, we have the most affordable price for amaranth oil practically throughout the CIS, and we can always guarantee the naturalness and benefits of our products.
